Baked Brie

Baked Brie Tutorial

Happy New Year everyone!  If you’re like me, you’re probably still in a food coma from all the delicious holiday food!  But I just HAD to share this with you.  Baked brie cheese always looks so fancy.  One of our friends made it for a get-together, and I was very impressed.  Then, he told me how easy it was to make, so I knew I had to make my own and share it.

Crate Bookshelf

Crate Bookshelf

Making the crate coffee table was so much fun that I decided to make myself a matching crate bookshelf!  The process was the same as the coffee table.  Except you screw the crates together one on top of the other, instead of in a square.  Check out the Crate Coffee Table tutorial and get started on your own crate furniture!  Comment below, what are you going to make?  You can also share pictures of your finished projects on our Facebook page, or on Instagram and tag @kniftycraftyandcute

Bottle Cap Ornament

Bottle Cap Ornament

What to do with all those bottle caps?  I save all of our bottle caps so that I can craft with them!  These bottle cap coasters were so much fun to make.  Now, of course I’m also feeling a little festive (it is only a week until Christmas!).  That led to this week’s tutorial!  So so easy 🙂  Read on to find out how to decorate your space while upcycling!

Easy Triangle Shawl Pattern

Easy Triangle Shawl Pattern

Now I tend to be a rebel when it comes to patterns.  I love to look at them and get inspiration, but then I tend to take things in my own direction.  Yes, I do have a lot of works-in-progress that are in time out because they went terribly, terribly wrong.  But I stand by my rebellious crafting.  So when I decided I wanted to make a triangle shawl that would use exactly the amount of yarn I had, as well as not require complicated counting or keeping track of rows, or anything, I decided to come up with my own basic triangle shawl pattern.  If you know how to knit and purl, this is a great pattern to learn how to do yarn overs!  It’s very easy!  The added beauty of knitting a triangle from the point up is that you can stop whenever you run out of yarn or feel the project is big enough.

Pizzadilla

Pizzadilla

Yum.  The Pizzadilla.  Part pizza, part quesadilla, all delicious.  It truly was a beautiful day when I first saw the pizzadilla on the menu of a small cafe.  I ordered it with no regrets.  And have since taken to making them at home.  Just as easy to make as they are delicious to eat!!!

Sew Your Own Advent Calendar

Sew your own advent calendar

Advent calendars are really neat.  It’s so much fun to count down!  But the regular advent calendars are kind of boring.  Last year, I got my boyfriend a Lego advent calendar.  It was SO much fun to have a little toy each day.  To make this year even more fun, I decided to make fabric advent calendars for myself and my boyfriend.  We will fill the pockets with personalized trinkets, and have a very exciting countdown to Christmas.  Maybe we will count down to every holiday from now on!  Read on to see how to make your own advent calendar, and get ready to get festive!

Veggie Quiche

Veggie Quiche

Yum, quiche!   Tastes as delicious as it sounds fancy!  When I learned how easy quiche is to make, I was amazed.  In the Spring of 2011, I studied abroad in Rennes, France, about 2 hours west of Paris.  My host mother made the most delicious quiches, and luckily she taught me her secret!  Read on to see how to make a veggie quiche of your own!
