Baked Brie

Baked Brie Tutorial

Happy New Year everyone!  If you’re like me, you’re probably still in a food coma from all the delicious holiday food!  But I just HAD to share this with you.  Baked brie cheese always looks so fancy.  One of our friends made it for a get-together, and I was very impressed.  Then, he told me how easy it was to make, so I knew I had to make my own and share it.

You will need:

– Brie

– Preserves or jam (we used apricot)

– Fillo dough

– 1 tbs butter (not pictured)

– Baking dish (you could also use a cookie sheet, but I wanted something pretty I could also serve in)

– Oven pre-heated to 350 degrees F

Place 5-10 sheets of fillo dough in your pan.

Then, put the brie right in the middle, and cover with your preserves.

I put more fillo dough on top of the brie before folding it up, but I think I had a little too much dough in mine.  Next time I will try just folding the bottom layer of fillo dough instead of adding to it.

Drizzle 1 tbs of melted butter over the top.  This will help it get nice and golden brown in the oven.

Bake at 350 until golden brown.  Serve with crackers or baguette pieces.

Yum!  What flavor preserves will you put in your baked brie?  Comment below!  Also, I want to see pictures of your melted cheese goodness, so post them to our Facebook page, or on Instagram and tag @kniftycraftyandcute

Happy eating! <3 Caitlyn
